Anju Rajaraman is a friendly and down-to-earth yoga instructor based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

She earned her certification as a yoga instructor in 2013 at Eastside Yoga, Tecumseh, Ontario under the Yoga Teacher Training course organized by Diane Bondy.  Anju loves teaching and has taught over 500 hours of yoga instruction.

“I find that yoga brings me happiness, comfort, and balance in addition to the physical benefits,” she says. These feelings were what inspired Anju to further her own practice by becoming a yoga instructor. “I wanted to share how I felt with others and help them find balance in their own lives.”

The learning aspect is extremely important to Anju. She  says, “It brings me so much joy to know that I’ve helped others strike a cord with balance, retain what they’ve learned, and continue to learn with a curious appetite.”

After sixty minutes of flowing through a series of mentally and physically strengthening poses, the stress of the students evaporates.  And, a glow of mindfulness surrounds them.

Anju adds that yoga is also exciting and that each practice is different because the body is constantly changing. “Yoga always brings the body a new challenge regardless of your experience level,” she says. “It’s something anyone can do. Everyone can benefit from the practice.”

Anju breathes with an air of genuine satisfaction, “The light, peace, and joy in me honor the light, peace, and joy in each of you. Namaste.”

What kind of yoga do I teach ?

Vinyasa level 1 incorporates basic poses with detailed alignment cues and instructions that give us a foundation towards taking our asana practice further, as well as restorative poses to calm the mind and body.

Vinyasa 2 is a rhythmic free-flow class with poses differing with each class, allowing students to modify poses or push harder. Poses are linked with the breath to promote better breathing. This class is a quicker paced, more dynamic, and diverse practice that is fluid because of the smooth transition of poses.(75 minutes)
